To support our team, we are looking for a Manager Quality Control (m/w/*) as a fulltime employee (40h/week), located at our headquarters in Mainz, Germany.
Your responsibilities:
- You define and establish QC procedures, sampling, measurements, acceptance criteria for product manufacturing; a large portion of the manufacturing is performed by external suppliers/CMOs
- You gain an understanding of the needs and requirements in the IVD space and communicating them and the quality standards to the production team
- You devise ways to continuously improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods
- You create, improve, and review new processes, and train staff
- You support defining specifications for raw materials from suppliers and monitor their compliance
- You collect and analyze data as per process, realease raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods
- You ensure legal obligations, compliance with regulatory bodies are met
- You inspect the final output, compare to specifications, and approve or rejecting the final products
- You keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
- You obtain feedback from the clients, attend meetings, submit reports, and assist external auditors and inspectors
Your profile:
- A bachelor's degree in science or business-based programs
- Previous experience in production or manufacturing in the regulated IVD space
- Strong attention to detail, observation, and organizational skills
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods
- Excellent communication and listening skills, ability to work in a team and personal integrity
- Excellent German and very good English language skills, both written and spoken
